Originally, we had hoped for the Candy Bomber to take to the skies again at the June 3rd opening of the new Berlin airport [known as BER].
But the BER isn’t the only thing running behind schedule. Our project also needs a little more support to reach our goals.
To this end, we began an important new initiative a few weeks ago: the symbolic sale of “airplane parts”. Our stand at the new airport got plenty of visitors on the “Tour Around the Terminal” Day, with lots of people learning about the project and buying up pieces of the historic DC-3. But there are still a few pieces left to sell! Hopefully not for long – and we may still make it there by the actual opening of the BER now scheduled for March of next year.
